Doesn't clean mid-levels

Maybe if you don't have a protector on your boots. I had high expectations based on the many positive reviews. After I scraped off the top layer of dirt on my Doc Marder boots and scrubbed vigorously with this shoe scraper, there was still dirt on the tread. The Doc Marten marks are flat and fairly widely spaced, so I'm surprised the scrubber can't remove the dirt. But that's impossible, and I present this photo as proof.

WIFE LIKES outdoor decoration

Gift to wife for Christmas. Hey, it's better than pots and pans! In fact, on the very rare occasions when it rains in El Paso, she asked for shoe polish and returned from a morning walk with our dog with muddy boots. Place one shoe, brush the other, and brush their shoes well. Next year I think I'll give her a vegetable brush for Christmas.

Works EXCELLENT!: Carpets

My husband and I were arguing about which shoe brush, cleaning product to buy. We have a beach house, SAND EVERYWHERE! I remember they were in Alaska and they worked great. winner, winner! Yes, I was RIGHT, he said. They not only clean the bottom but also the sides and you do NOT have to pin them down! You stand on one side while you brush off the other shoe. We bought one for each entrance of our house. They clean your shoes and boots so well that when we take off our shoes we can enter our…

In use for a year: Outdoor decor

The photo shows this scraper after a year of daily outdoor use. On the right is the new scratch mat. Over time, the bristles and sides flattened out, making it less effective. However, he remained safe and sound. Duck feathers stick to it, but most dirt just shakes off after drying. When new it feels a little wobbly due to the bristles on the underside of the mat. It feels more secure after they've flattened out a bit. I like it better than the black bristle and wooden stick rugs. They break or

UV is not her friend

I've bought/used these over and over again. Two subpages. First, they move a lot, so you really have to push on them and slide your shoes right through them. Secondly, the fibers do not withstand the strong UV radiation (sun at high altitude) as well as we would like, so with age the fibers break down and do not resist dirt. You've had enough of a few UV inhibitors, but haven't encountered a success story yet. The only way out seems to be to buy some add-ons and hide them in a dark place, but…

Best shoe cleaner we've used

The base is made of wire around which thick plastic herringbone bristles can be wrapped to provide a very strong yet lightweight platform for cleaning rocks, leaves, mud, dirt or any debris such as snow or rainwater roll off our feet before we step in from the street. We had wood based models that only lasted one season because we live in a cold 6 month weather climate. We've had plastic-based shoe cleaners of a similar design, but the brush was made by inserting bristles into many individual…

Sweep/dance dirt and snow.

I've been waiting to leave a review. I used this in the fall mud while preparing the garden for winter. Yesterday was our first snow storm - over 10 inches of snow. It's great for removing dirt, snow, slush - anything. The design does not "scratch” shoes [used when wearing BOGS and SLOGGERS shoes, as well as winter boots. ]. It's easy to use and wide enough to keep you balanced while scratching your shoes. To clean, simply hose down when needed or allow the cleaning mud to dry and sweep away…

One of the three only lasted a month

We do extensive gardening, digging up bushes, replanting lawns and transplanting trees. Despite the hype surrounding scratching shoes and two different types of heavily textured "scratch mats" on the outside of the porch, the house is still covered in dirt. I ordered three of these, one for each record, to try and get a better grip on them. Obviously they work better than mats as the longer, stiffer bristles penetrate deeper into the shoe/boot treads, but you have to really snuggle up and pull…

2.5 " x 12 " x 13 " Herringbone Coconut Shoe Scraper by Rubber-Cal

For the money I paid for this shoe shine mat, I am very satisfied. I bought two for $10.99 each and as a basic membership I have free shipping on these items. I have a front door and a covered patio and everyone has one. The front door is closed, and this element is protected from most of the moisture coming from the eaves. The patio has dried out and I can't wait to see how long they will last as the metal is not listed as stainless steel and I expect it to rust over time. None of the metal…
