2.5 " x 12 " x 13 " Herringbone Coconut Shoe Scraper by Rubber-Cal

For the money I paid for this shoe shine mat, I am very satisfied. I bought two for $10.99 each and as a basic membership I have free shipping on these items. I have a front door and a covered patio and everyone has one. The front door is closed, and this element is protected from most of the moisture coming from the eaves. The patio has dried out and I can't wait to see how long they will last as the metal is not listed as stainless steel and I expect it to rust over time. None of the metal touches the concrete, just the material the wire is wrapped around. Over time and with use, the fiber will shrink and the metal may or may not come into contact. The product hails from Sri Lanka and is said to be made from coconut shell fibers and G1 metal wire. Coir, also known as coir, is the fibrous material that sits between the hard inner husk and outer husk of the coconut. Brown coir is made from mature coconuts, while white coir is made from immature coconuts. See photo. Coconut is airy, open and wiry in texture. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, coir is the strongest and thickest of all commercial fibers. Brown or red coir is commonly used as a material to make brushes, doormats, mattresses, rugs, carpets, and insulation boards. So this mat and now the G1 metal wire is most likely galvanized, but I found a G1 wire at Ali Baba that was advertised as "Great Affordable G1 Titanium Wire!" so it could be this product. Both of my rugs, see photos, go well with my wife's other rugs, one of which is also coir and the other is almost completely worn, but this boot rug works well and should serve its intended purpose. I hope this helps others who want to avoid farm waste and the trouble this woman can cause.
