I bought this after my bazillionth abdominal surgery last February and kept it for the nice smoothness under my clothes. The doctor recommended light compression afterwards, and it is. At the time I was much heavier than I am now bc of the condition I had the surgery for, and at 5'5 1/2" I was in a size 14, and the 2x was still slightly looser than expected. Now that I've lost 30+ lbs I definitely need the smaller size. It has held up after almost a year of machine washings (line dry) so its well made. The reasons I gave 4 instead of 5 stars are that I personally find the crotchless design annoying and uncomfortable, and the placement of the straps is odd. They are removable, which is great, but without them I find it bunches up weirdly under the armpits, but with them I get constant chafing, and they show in the front of pretty much any shirt aside from a turtleneck. I still wear it all the time bc of the smoothness under my clothes (and bc I'm vain.lol) but it drives me nuts. If they corrected those 2 things this would definitely be a pretty perfect item. Oh and if you're wondering, I'm not usually a sweaty person, but wearing this all day will definitely cause moisture, but the zipper makes it easier when taking it off. All in all, I do recommend it.
