They're just not hard at all. If I can take them out of the box and bend them easily with my arthritic hands, then they aren't stiff. The only reason I bought them was because other reviews yelled that they were too stiff. You are not. If anyone has any recommendations for hard soled sandals that don't flex easily please let me know. I think we have different definitions of stiffness and flexibility. Rigid means it won't bend when you touch it with your pinky. I don't know how people say they are not flexible. You are still small. Another return is coming.
