Several other reviewers have mentioned that the microphone is very sensitive, which I think is in some ways a good thing. If you record in a quiet environment where the sound source you want to record is far away, I think this recorder is perfect for you. But for me it just picks up too much ambient noise. My wife and I tried some comparison recordings between this unit and the iPhone 6 in our purse and jean pocket and the sound quality on the iPhone is much better. I will be returning this and hoping to find another device that records as well as the iPhone .7/15/19. Merit of customer service alone. After I submitted my review, the seller contacted me and was very forthcoming with my dissatisfaction. The context of my review is still that the mic is overly sensitive, but I understand it might be helpful for some people, so two stars isn't warranted.
