The curved screen is the main reason it costs so much, but even with that, I still think the MSRP is a rip-off. The main thing I don't like is the pixel response time. This is a VA panel notorious for poor response times and this is no different. The claimed response time on almost every monitor is a lie, but this one is a flat lie (I think they say 5ms. It's definitely not). Manufacturers try to counteract this (especially with VA panels) by adding an overdrive function. The "faster" and "faster" response time settings on this monitor, like most overdrive monitors, will cause reverse ghosting/pixel bleeding. This is especially noticeable on the "Faster" setting, you'll notice it with your mouse when hovering over something dark, and you'll notice it in many games. Basically, the "normal" setting of the response time eliminates pixel overshoot, but then we come back to the problems inherent in VA panels. So you basically have 3 options: tons of motion blur (normal), a bit of motion blur plus a bit of reverse halo (fast), or intense reverse halo with little or no motion blur (faster). This monitor tries to present itself as an affordable "gaming monitor" but it's basically a cheap panel with a few extras (curved screen, freesync, monitor acceleration). If you play faster games, look elsewhere. If you play slower and want to immerse yourself in a curved screen for a good price maybe wait until it's on sale now For people who just want a good curved desktop monitor, there's one thing that's intrinsically good about VA panels is that they typically have much higher contrast and deeper blacks than IPS and TN panels. There are some soft streaks of color, but nothing compared to what you typically see on TN panels. I watched a lot of YouTube and a little Netflix with this monitor and it did a great job, but like I said gamers wait until it's on sale.
