My cat is built like a miniature jaguar; he only weighs 8 kilos, but he has long legs and needs a lot of space to stretch properly. This home/carrier in Small gives it a truly luxurious space; He can move around easily and sit up straight. I think this 'small' holder may be larger than other brands' 'small' holders. When I ordered it I expected it to be harder than it actually is. The bottom isn't very hard so it behaves like a hammock when I'm carrying my cat. I usually carry it by the bottom with both hands rather than the top handle. That's the only thing I'd like to change, but I live in the city so trips to the vet are a lot of walking. If I were just getting my cat in the car from home, the flexible floor wouldn't bother me! The advantage, of course, is that it is very light. I see how a cat with sharp claws and strong motivation to get out of the house/carrier can break through, but my cat has never made an attempt. It's definitely cozy (he sometimes sits in it for fun), and I've machine washed the fleece lining a few times; he perseveres! Like the other reviewer, I notice that the photo appears a little pink while the actual medium is a smooth tan. But I have a hangover so I was glad it wasn't as pink as it looked. :)
