I know it sounds a bit silly but I love this laptop stand. But I don't use it for a laptop! Rather, I was looking for some sort of easel solution to hold heavy textbooks closer to my face to get closer to reading glasses. This laptop stand was the perfect solution. It's just the right height and provides a very stable platform to sit on your lap. It is small, light and very heavy. The flat bottom makes me very comfortable sitting on my hips. It's funny how such a simple little thing can make a big difference in everyday life. My hands were just so tired and I was constantly uncomfortable reading the book - nothing more! Tip: The device is difficult to open and close because the hinges are very tight. It's intentional and really just what you need so it won't collapse whatever you put it on. I just leave mine open, but it folds up when I travel. I've found it's easiest to manipulate from the ground. I open it a little and put my foot on the lower platform. When my body weight is down I can move the attachments much easier.
