Bought this to use with my Meade 102mm scope and Canon A540 Powershot. It attaches firmly to the eyepiece and fits my camera. It has a wide range of settings so it should be suitable for a wide range of cameras. Works very well. I had to experiment to find the best mounting position and recording method. I use a heavy bow video tripod, which works well for this setup. A lighter tripod will not work, as there is a lot of vibration at high magnification. Here is the method that works best for my scope and camera: 1- Remove the star diagonal and place the eyepiece directly into the eyepiece holder (direct observation method). Tighten the locking screw firmly. 2- Look through the eyepiece and focus the scope. 3- Attach the adapter to the eyepiece. 4- Mount the camera, then center the lens using the X and Y adjustment screws. Leave the Z setting loose. 5- Very carefully zoom the lens to full telephoto and observe the distance to the eyepiece. Adjust the Z-axis so that the fully zoomed camera lens does not touch the scope's eyepiece. 6- Leave the camera in auto focus mode. Turn off the focus-assist illumination. 7- Adjust the zoom if necessary to get a good picture on the camera screen. To avoid vignetting, the camera has to be zoomed in a bit. 8- Refocus the spotting scope as needed to get the clearest possible image from the camera. 9- Use timed shutter mode to avoid blur caused by vibration. 10 seconds works great.
