I bought these to teach my son calligraphy before delving into pen dipping, ink flow control, etc. This can be frustrating for a student. You put in a few sentences and it looks perfect, and then a giant ink blot drives you nuts. So markers! He lost interest in front of goal almost immediately *sigh*. Like many modern young people, they confuse the manifestation of a desire for something with the desire that it almost immediately coincide with skill. So I used them for my own project. Flow is good even for markers for the price. The color is durable. Cons: Not durable. Even if you close them immediately after the last stroke of the pen, they dry up quickly. Store them upright, face down. If you hold them flat while typing, they will skip. You write a sentence and the ink dries and again you have to hold out for a while and finish later. They're okay if you're buying to complete a quick project or two. If you buy to use this week, wait 2 weeks, use again later, you will encounter problems and endless frustration because once you start a project with it, you can't just finish it with pen and ink. The color doesn't match.
