Cute, but definitely NOT for small children.
My 8 year old daughter got her ear pierced about 5 months ago. So her piercing is still very small and she wears two small sterling silver hoop earrings at all times. It was a birthday present for her as we have a house cat that sleeps in her bed at night. Unfortunately the shank of the earring was too thick to fit through the piercing hole. Pity! She was very disappointed even though she liked the earrings.
