Micro radio at a micro price

You can't beat a micro radio at a micro price. If it's a small buggy, just take out the batteries to reset it, the only downside.

This is a $10 radio

That's what it is: A $10 radio. I bought it for hurricane season. It's perfect for that. Tuning is easy - press up to tune up and down to tune down. Volume works the same way. idiot proof. Sounds like a cheap tweeter. This is a $10 radio and it meets my expectations and needs.

Make no mistake with Kaito

Great little radio. Was looking for something portable for my workshop. Smaller than I expected (didn't read the dimensions) but works surprisingly well. Difficult to pick up AM stations in my area and it works perfectly. Great reception, volume and functionality for what it is and how much it costs. Definitely recommend. You can't go wrong with the Kaito radio. Also check out their emergency weather radios.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Sad device

This is NOT a good radio.

This is a poorly designed, poorly built radio. It's almost impossible to tune due to the stiff, sluggish tuning knob. If you happen to tune into a station, it will only stay tuned for a few seconds. Even touching the radio will detune it. Low price is no excuse for low quality. I have seen many radios in this price range that work perfectly. I decided to send mine back for a refund within minutes of opening the package. I suggest you save yourself the trouble of doing the same.

When it comes to radios, size matters

Item arrived on time and well packaged. It's perfect for our morning walks and matches our hiking outfits. The sound quality is good and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the setup. The exact frequency is difficult to determine with a digital display and initially drifts somewhat. I suspect that with repeated use the tuner wears out and the stiffness and springing decreases and the drift decreases. What more can you expect for €8. worth your money. By the way, I found the exact same…

This can get tricky with the volume and station search.

Finding volume and channels can be difficult. But I bought it for my dog when I'm not at home when I feel like he needs some noise and actually use it more for my 4 year old stepdaughter who is afraid to sleep in her room. It helped her. The only thing that scared me was that it randomly turned on in the middle of the night and woke me and my friend up because of the noise. It was scary, but only once. This too can be difficult. Also less than I expected. It's as small as the palm of my hand.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • No color required

Aeronautical band not included - Despite description on back

I bought this radio because the description says it includes the 118-138 MHz aeronautical band. It is not. This product is coming back and it's a huge waste of time for everyone. Is it really that hard for the description to reflect the real product? My 3 star rating reflects the device I received and ignores false claims. For a cheap radio it works. It only includes the AM and FM bands. The sound is bad but audible. Setup is fairly basic and reception is acceptable. It is not expensive. If you

Poor quality and fragility

Identical to Coby CX53 in every way, inside and out. It is painted silver gray instead of blue as shown in the picture. The sound is distorted and hoarse over the loudspeaker and the supplied headphones, like over compressed mp3s. The battery cover accidentally pops out just when I'm holding the radio and trying to tune it. . The tuning wheel is too hard to turn, so you usually skip a few stations when trying to tune it. AM and FM reception is pretty poor even for a cheap mini radio. to bring…

Nice radio best for portable audio and video

I don't often write Revain reviews. However, I thought I would in this case because some of the reviews on here seem so wrong. I wanted a radio that was portable enough to take with me on business trips and that doubled as an alarm clock. (I didn't want to bother: hotel alarms, wake-up calls, whether my phone is charged, etc.) This radio ticks all the boxes perfectly. It's relatively cheap, has an alarm function and doesn't weigh too much. For some reason radios like this are hard to come by…
