Reading the reviews on this product, I think I've experienced all the ups and downs that most people mention when trying to connect my new Sony DVD player with no HDMI ports (?!). connect a 4 year old Samsung. TV. It didn't work at first - all I got was a lot of buzzing with a blue screen that said 'No Signal'. Some users have recommended trying a different HDMI cable. I've had this problem before with my laptop; Apparently, when I connect my laptop to the TV, only a good quality HDMI cable transfers the data correctly. I noticed that the red, white, and yellow AV cables that came with the DVD player were pretty flimsy, so I rummaged through my cable box for a higher quality kit with thicker individual cables.
