Do not use any mounting material!

Bought 3 frames. The manufacturer packaged the frames very well so I know they should be proud of their product. Less than 5 minutes after hanging, the frame fell and broke. Luckily it was tempered glass so the glass didn't shatter and the custom engraving wasn't damaged. The small mounting hardware that came with it wasn't the right size considering it was a 16x20 frame with glass. What remains is the photo of the broken frame - the remaining parts of the frame are still behind the cut. Quality frame, well packaged but the attachment is not enough. Now all I have to do is buy a frame. Very disappointing.
