Works well at 448MHz, like the original Baofeng antenna, but of course VERY small. It would be like reducing power by 90 percent. I have attached 4 pictures. You will see 2 for 146.550MHz and 2 more for 448. At 448MHz the RF antenna signal for the spectrum analyzer is very similar to that of a standard dual band Baofeng. At a distance of 2 meters, you can see that the signal is significantly lower than the standard Baofeng antenna. I think for 440MHz operation this could be a good choice for those who only need the UHF band.
