I wish I had trusted my instincts and ordered the next size up! It's ok, but it has no sag. I ordered XL for my grandson who has a 20" back (top size) and 26" bust (medium size) and it fits but is a bit tight. I should know better as coats and dog clothes always seem to run small + the listing suggests ordering larger quantities! The fleece side is very soft (velvety to the touch with fleece effect) and the bone appliqué is very cute. I would say the nylon side is more water resistant than waterproof. We went for a walk after the rain and the splashes on his stomach also got the plaid side wet. It's a reasonable price for a nice and well-tailored coat.
