Cats make the final decision
So my cats don't wear hats and take them off. The collar is large and roomy to fit over an existing name tag collar. I have a feeling because they are used to wearing a collar, so they agreed to wear a Christmas collar. The hat is NOT. If I started as a kitten Yes, maybe. The material is nice but definitely NOT keeping warm as opinion was asked. I had this collar on my deceased cat for years and she wore it every Christmas and she never had a problem. Now my 2 boys wear them and have no problems so hopefully next year they will feel the same as my root beer has in a Christmas collar for 15 years.
