Not expensive, but not ideal

Overall I'm a little disappointed in this shade. It was relatively inexpensive so for the price it's not bad, but I really wanted a better shade and would have been willing to pay more for one that checked off all my expectations. Like most sun shades, it's a little unwieldy. After a summer of use, I pretty much have folding it up mastered, but it's a little tricky even with the videos. It does provide shade, but it's not very thick at all and lets some light and more heat through than I'd like, although it does lower the temperature of the interior - just not as much as better (and even more unwieldy) shades. It came with a storage bag, which is very useful, and a steering wheel cover that really isn't useful. Frankly, if you need a steering wheel cover the window shade probably isn't doing what it should. Finally, the quality seems to be what you'd expect from something pretty inexpensive. The strap that holds it closed when folded up is almost ripped off after one summer of gentle use. Bottom line this wouldn't be my ideal shade, but if you need something inexpensive, it's not bad. Just don't expect it to perform like more expensive competitors.

Pros
  • Saves on air conditioning costs
Cons
  • The material might be too flimsy and tear easily
