it functions, basically, as described. when the slides are extended the sun is blocked therefore it functions. my complaint is more of a personal opinion about overall quality verses cost. this is simply 2 thin pieces of plastic slides sandwiched between to slightly thicker pieces of plastic. when the slides are extended they are flimsy and do bounce around. reality is this is something that will not be used a great deal since its only needed at certain times of day and direction you travel…

The velcro straps are not long enough so I had to buy velcro to extend it so it would fit. It is relatively easy to install but it doesn't staying place like I want it too. It slides down no matter how tight I do the velcro. The visor itself is sturdy but it doesn't stay in place. It does go up and down relatively easy but arches sometimes. It is better than the flip down style.

Installation would have been simpler without instructions - so random and confusing. After that, there's only one thing that matters - can one extend the vertical and horizontal extending flaps as needed while in motion. Simple answer is No. I need two hands to adjust them so I wait for a red light, etc to adjust. But, the unit does exactly what I need - helping out a short lady driving in a land of East/West roads.

My eyes are extremely sensitive to the sun, even with sunglasses, so l was looking for an easy solution for when I come around the corner and am blinded by the sun. This sounded perfect. Installation was a bit of a challenge as the Velcro straps kept sticking to the "ceiling" of the car, but I got through that. It's pretty sturdy but my disappointment is that it takes 2 hands to pull the side slide, which makes it impossible to do while driving.

I purchased this visor extender for my 2015 Audi which has a standard size visor that does not block the bright Cali sun. Quickly installed over your current visor. When I first got this it came bent as it was stuffed in a box that was clearly too small for it- obviously Revains fault and not the seller- but i ordered a replacement which came in fine. This is your usual novel idea, however, the quality is Meh. If I had a car for this to install, it would be easy, therefore I gave it 5 stars, however, I wish they made it for truck/large visors. The straps do not reach around on my Element visor. Had to make modifications. To pull out the side or bottom shields can catch each other inside the device. My eyes seem overly sensitive to bright sunlight. Since it seems cars are made with large male drivers in mind, my shorty self doesn't get much benefit from the very basic sun visors that came with my car. This visor extension is very underwhelming, but about 30% of the time it will block some extra bits of sunlight that are trying to blind me. The extensions do not extend smoothly, but it's not too much of a hassle, really.

We purchased this visor extender for the passenger side, and the one that has a polarized extender by the same manufacturer for the driver's side. Takes 2 hands to pull visor out ,not smooth, velcro ties don't match or make sense. Had to buy a different ties in oder to make it work

This product does the job , but is flimsy in the actual pull down portion. Had a bit of difficulty getting it attached tightly to my existing visor. I have doubts to it’s durability for lasting. It however does block the sun once pulled down in place

This is the best one available. Easy to install. Pull it down to shade the sun and you won't need to go find your sunglasses. It is so great to not have to try to sit up to get away from the glare of the sun in your car window.

Since I am so short, this shade does help keep direct sun out of my eyes. But it also blacks out too much of the view. A shade that protects you from glare, but you can see through would be better.

This photo on the ad made me think you could see through the visor. Nope, it is black plastic. The velcro was barely big enough to close on visor also. Wish they would change that picture in the ad it is misleading.

I less than 5' tall, and constantly struggled with the sun in my eyes despite tinted windows and sunglasses. This product does the job. It extends enough so that the sun is never in my eyes any more whether I use it on the windshield or side window, whether I use the bottom or side extender. So far it has stood up to use. As I wrote above, I found it very difficult to install. In fact, I am not sure it is installed properly; butI have been able to use it the way I wanted to.

I like the idea of this visor, I only wish it worked better. I am unable to adjust either of the two sliding flaps without using two hands, and even then, unless I'm very careful I end either pulling the visor off my fixed visor or accidentally repositioning it so that the vanity mirror is inoperative.When I finally do get everything adjusted, it works great. But the panels don't really slide easily into or out of the visor.

The sun visor in the 2013 Prius V leaves a gap between the mirror and the end of the visor. Worse yet, when the visor is positioned on the side window, it does not extend back very far.
