Not suitable for 1 gallon bottle.
1. I'll post a photo later. Not suitable. I find it strange - I bought the right size.2. Also the white insert in the lid? it is a cardboard-like material under a white thin film. If it gets wet, unlike many similarly lined lids, this one immediately soaks up water and if I hadn't spotted it right away it would be sitting on top of my clean drinking water.3. I saw some rust in the lid during the day.
