I was wondering why there were 3 gaskets in the pack and not two, there were so many in the toilet. 3 looked stupid. After hours of emptying the tank and trying everything I could think of, including putting a rock on the shock to hold it in place with more force, I finally figured it all out. These seals sometimes appear to come from the factory with a "wave" or "bubble" around the edge. This allows a small amount of water to seep through the seal and eventually drain the tank. I was removing the new seal and examining it when someone else mentioned swollen seal edges. It was barely noticeable. You can feel it during installation by running your finger along the outer edge of the gasket. Anything that isn't perfectly smooth can cause a leak. I went back to the packaging and pulled out the 3rd seal and it was smooth. replaced. Problem solved. If I can now find out why the toilet doesn't "hold" any "filling" and doesn't actually flush after about one time, I feel very successful. I was going to give a star but as there was an extra gasket in the box I gave it a 2. Would have given it a 5 if told to check the gasket before fitting.
