Using it 24/7 at low levels means you rarely need to change the filter and you get clean air that is well above the rating of this unit. I use the Laser Egg Monitor to check the results on the CN scale, US scale and Raw Particle Count. *** When I lived in Shanghai, I used 5 air purifiers and an air quality monitor. This cleaner is good in terms of noise, speed and quality. I would recommend it to anyone buying it in the US. I gifted it to my parents after using it for 1 month. You don't need as big a block as they say. This device was able to save my 2000 sqm. Feet (with 15-foot ceilings) with less than 100 particles for -2.5 micron particles and 0 for +2.5 particles. These numbers are not fixed in the US pollution scale. These are the actual particle numbers! This is an incredibly low rate. On average, for my city, this is 1500-2000 particles -2.5 microns. Just grab one and work low 24/7. Check the filter every few months. You'll probably forget it's even there.
