These items should be clearly legible in the description or photographs or at least on the downloadable MSDS sheet. But none of that is available for this article. People (like me) looking to repair/upgrade their cast iron cookware can't know in advance that it's not safe to use on items that come into direct contact with food. Do not use it to remove dirt from a cast iron skillet intended for cooking. It can be great for cleaning things you don't cook food in, but I don't have anything quite like it to use at the moment so I can't rate it for that purpose. How such important safety information is presented (or in this case not provided) to the consumer prior to purchase is certainly part of what defines a product and an important consideration when assessing the quality of a product.
