Protect yourself when using the wheels

I love this set. I used to revitalize door hardware on a 100 year old home and it worked GREAT. When using the wire wheels, protect yourself. Wire fly's everywhere, which is normal for that brush. I have seen some reviews where consumers thought that was faulty but it's normal. Safety wise, protect yourself otherwise you'll be pulling small pieces of wire out of your clothing.

Pros
  • These come in real handy for cleaning rocks at our store .
Cons
  • The wire brushes are not durable and wear out quickly

You get what you pay for. These are hardly worth it.

These wire rotary brushes are very cheap. I used them for cleaning rust and old paint off of some ironwork. Each brush would last less than 5 minutes. The steel bristles broke off way faster than they should have and they were not packed as thickly as reputable brands so there were fewer bristles to begin with. Maybe if i had been using them for softer materials they might have been more use. For my purposes this was basically money wasted.

Pros
  • I ordered the wrong size for my die grinder I need the 1/4 inch instead of the 1/8
Cons
  • brushes didn't hold together as long as others I have bought

The shank bent and destroyed my dremel

These are horrible and don’t last. The wire actually comes off and then gets embedded everywhere. Over time the shanks start to bend and if you don’t turn off the dremel right away and catch it, it will destroy the machine. You have to basically feel when it’s getting warped and about to bend and then pre-maturally stop your work and swap the bit.

Pros
  • Works fine lasts a long time.
Cons
  • these simply disintegrate if rotary tool running above 3000 RPMs. Bristles just come off like paper

Great number of brushes

Like most of the selections but unfortunately there were no stronger wired ones of a smaller diameter for getting into close areas.Used for multitude of projects

Pros
  • Exactly as expected. Works perfectly for our application.
Cons
  • These brushes fell apart after only using them fo a few minutes doing very light work.

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Very short time use.

They work very good for about 10 minutes. DO NOT use with high RPM tool, the bristles will fly out almost immediately. They will last longer (10 - 15 minutes) on a variable speed tool at between 10 - 15 thousand RPMs.

Pros
  • The set is easy to transport and store
Cons
  • The set is not suitable for use on surfaces with ridges or grooves

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Plenty of spares of each size

Plenty of spares in the box. Make sure you wear eye protection though bc they do fly apart after a bit of abuse like any other wire wheel.

Pros
  • The wires do not break or fray during use
Cons
  • The set does not come with replacement brushes, making it less cost-effective over time

good brushes for a dremel

I love my dremel and was running low on wire brushes. When I saw this item I had to have it. I use them to clean up painted plastic and metal as well as remove older over spray. One con I have is that on high setting the bristles become lose and will start flying off the brush, I've had the pleasure of steeping on a few of them, its not too much fun! Overall they do the job and the price was great!

Pros
  • The brushes are perfect for cleaning hard-to-reach areas
Cons
  • The wire bristles can become tangled or bent, causing them to lose their cleaning effectiveness

Do not recommend. Poor quality. Terrible experience.

I was excited to receive these since there were 60 pcs for about $20, instead of $5 per wheel for the Dremel brand wheels. My project was removing rust from heavy iron grilling grates. I had already used the only two wire brush heads that came with my original Dremel Tool set, they were enough to almost finish one whole grate (in the first pic) front and back. When I got this set, after less than 10 minutes eight brushes were already worn out (they only lasted a couple minutes each, and one of…

Pros
  • The set is durable and long-lasting, saving you money in the long run
Cons
  • The set is not suitable for use on surfaces with oil or grease buildup

Revised assessment: pretty good value for the $.

I gave 4 stars because:1) order arrived on promised day about noon. This was good because I got the rest of the day's use of product.2) opened box & counted-received exact qty ordered.3) giving benefit of doubt on quality till I use some.I examined the "T" shaped brushes. Their assembly is inconsistent. On about 10 of 20 it looks like the pieces were poorly aligned before compression & the parts that hold the wires are not parallel. I believe those will come apart most easily.I intend to update

Pros
  • The wire brushes have a non-slip grip, which prevents accidents during use
Cons
  • The set is not suitable for use on materials such as leather or other fabrics

You get what you pay for

These wire wheels are very cheaply made - I guess that's why they cost $.28/piece.They work fairly well on a 2-speed Dremel rotary tool on LOW speed, but when you go to HIGH speed they fall apart. Literally.I was using these brushes to clean out old lock tite and gasket seal from the threads on M6 and M8 engine casing bolts before reinstalling the bolts. I switched to HIGH speed and I was suddenly being pelted by metal fibers! I had metal fibers stuck all over my shirt, and the wire brush ended

Pros
  • The steel wire brushes are heat-resistant and prevent overheating during use
Cons
  • The set is not suitable for use on fragile or antique items

Polishing rust: my feedback

Wow these little brushes do a amazing job on rust removal in tight spots. Extremely happy with them 3 tires later and still on the same brush so good durability imo.

Pros
  • These are low RPM , if you try to use them at fast rpm they will fall apart fast
Cons
  • The wires are easily thrown out as the tool rotates.

Does the job, but….

I use these with a Dremel motor. It will remove surface debris, but the wire comes off of the brush fairly quickly even at low speed. They’re inexpensive enough if that was the only problem, but unfortunately it isn’t. When the wires fly out of the brush, they penetrate skin and clothing, to say nothing about failing to wear eye protection. My suggestion is that you spend a little more and get something made a little better!

Pros
  • The set guarantees a thorough and efficient cleaning experience
Cons
  • The set can cause damage to surfaces if used improperly

Flares out more than I had hoped. WEAR SAFETY GLASSES!

A Dremel tool turns fast! Mine isn’t adjustable speed, and the cone shaped brushes flare out too much for close work in tight spaces. The first one I used separated from the shank and went everywhere. I’m glad that I was wearing my glasses! You get a box full of these things for $10, so I can’t complain about the price. The flat ones seem to be a bit better made than the cone shaped ones, and if you have an adjustable speed Dremel tool or you want to mess with a drill for slower speeds, they…

Pros
  • The wire brush set is ideal for polishing metal, wood, and other materials
Cons
  • The set does not come with enough brushes for larger cleaning tasks

Flying bristles everywhere!

I am refinishing a cast iron kettle and needed to really go beyond elbow grease because of its age and condirion. I started using wire brushes from my Dremel kit and they worked quite well and lasted a good while. These new brushes I got here fall apart so fast that they literally get stuck in your skin like that story about the 2X4 going through a tree in a tornado. I went through 6 brushes in the half hour I was working on my project and if it wasn't for the foresight of putting on industrial

Pros
  • The wheels and pen brushes are easy to attach and detach from the rotary tool
Cons
  • The rotary tool accessories are not compatible with other brands of rotary tools

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good value and a good quantity

Satisfied. I like the substantial quantity and variety in the package. They clean and remove rust in crevices and corners well enough for my purposes. The cone shaped brushes will shred under anything other than light use. My roto tool's slowest speed is 10,000 so perhaps at a lower speed they would last longer. I'd like to find something similar with heavier wire but I'm sure that most are made very similar.

Pros
  • The brushes are excellent for removing paint and graffiti from walls and other surfaces
Cons
  • The brushes can be difficult to clean, making them less hygienic

Should not be an Revain Choice Product

Purchased this to use with my Dremel tool to remove rust from my brake calipers so that I could paint them. This should not be an Revain Choice due to a safety issue. As many reviews have noted, these don’t last long and they shoot the tiny wires everywhere. I am very thankful for the reviews that prompted me to wear a face mask and eye protection. I used my vacuum cleaner attachment and suctioned with my left hand to catch flying bristles, while I used the Dremel in my right hand.

Pros
  • The set is suitable for use in homes, garages, workshops, and factories
Cons
  • The set is not suitable for use on glass or other delicate surfaces

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Wires seem to come off.

Product looks good, and it seems to work well. Problem is the wire fly's off before touching your . It is a must to wear safety glasses. You should wear safety glasses anyway no matter how well something looks great or not.

Pros
  • The set helps to restore and maintain the shine and appearance of surfaces
Cons
  • The set does not come with safety glasses, putting users at risk of eye injury

Revainrating 3 out of 5

They cheap but you get plenty! What’s a couple bucks

They do come apart rather quickly but you got plenty. I’ll try to slow down the speed next time that might help. For what they cost I’m not complaining. I’ll buy some more when I need some

Pros
  • The brushes can be used to clean and polish jewelry items
Cons
  • The brushes can create a lot of dust and debris during use, making it difficult to clean up

Great Value: my feedback

I have used just a couple of these so far and they have worked just as I expected. They do the job just fine, they seem durable as any I have used and just as effective. A great value for the money.

Pros
  • Just right size for many uses
Cons
  • The rotary tool accessories are poorly made and break easily

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not Dremel, but good quality for the price

These are not as good as Dremel brand, but they last for a decent amount of time if used for what they are intended for. I restore old small equipment engines and these work fine for polishing and cleaning small parts. Other reviews say they do not last, but they are obviously using them for things that they are not intended. These are not made for removing heavy rust or paint. Definitely worth the price for what you get.

Pros
  • Nothing fancy just a selection of brushes to use.
Cons
  • The pen brushes included in the set are too small and not suitable for larger cleaning tasks
