I received an old iPad Air because the glass was broken. It should go in the trash, but I wanted to try and fix the tablet because I'm a techie and have been building and fixing computers for a long time, but I've never attempted to fix a tablet. The repair took about two hours, although most of the time was spent removing all the tiny splinters of glass from the original adhesive. And I had to redo part of the process because I made a mistake and had to disassemble the device again after I was almost done. Everything said I did and it works like a champ. I showed the repaired device to the guy who gave it to me and he couldn't believe it. The only downside is that I will most likely be his broken screen helper.
