UPDATE: (This update is over 2 years after purchase) The battery was so bloated that I couldn't press the trackpad and the case near the DC jack is now cracked from the pressure applied . Luckily I have the know-how to remove the battery so I pulled it out and am now looking for a replacement. Overall, the laptop still performs very well. After learning that it only has one fan, I was concerned about cooling, but so far it hasn't overheated or anything. However the product page is misleading, I am assuming the GF75 has two fans and the marketing says the GF63 also has two fans. It doesn't really matter to me, but for anyone who wants a 15.6-inch laptop and is concerned about cooling or is buying under the impression of dual fans, it's misleading. ********************************************* I recently bought it Laptop, model MSI GF63 8SC with i5 8300H. I ordered an 8GB Samsung DDR4 2666MHz memory module as this model only comes with 8GB of memory pre-installed. The 8th gen i5 outperforms the 6th and 7th gen i7, making it ideal for my use. Using the Intel XTU, I lowered the CPU voltage to -0.130mV to keep temperatures as low as possible during gaming to maintain, and only reached about 84 Β°C. At idle, it's around 40 Β°C, not bad for a single fan in sport mode. Center is handy software that allows you to customize your laptop's performance and sound to your needs. The 1650 model is perfect for my use, mainly for Overwatch. I can always stay above 60 fps on epic settings. The webcam is rubbish, but then again I'm not buying this to use the webcam. The speakers sound decent but lack bass. They don't distort too much at 100%, so I'm fine with that. The screen is really sharp and the viewing angles are amazing. The thin bezels really make this laptop's screen stand out considering it's basically a 14-inch chassis. .The keyboard is absolutely lousy but after a few days I got used to a short travel, for a student it should be fine as the keys don't make much noise when typing. to control brightness, media and volume instead of using the FN + arrow keys combo. I can get used to this arrangement though. I believe the build quality of this machine allows for such portability. Overall I am very happy with this laptop and would recommend it to anyone looking for a budget slot machine.
