This review is about waterproof mascara. I've used this product twice and so far I'm loving it! This formula is perfectly thick and one coat is enough to cover your upper and lower lashes. The stick doesn't pick up much excess product, but I recommend wiping off as much product as possible as it sticks together easily with just one coat. Despite being so thick, it doesn't feel heavy, itchy or wet, and dries very quickly, so hurry up with your application. I apply a little on the eyelids and immediately after that they are easy to remove with a damp cotton swab. You definitely can't build this mascara so I couldn't create length or much of the curl - for me it doesn't add as much length as I would like, but it does add volume and definition which definitely gives it a fake look. The main downside is that it is VERY flaky, in my photos it has already peeled off right after application, I can see it gives a raccoon look. Despite the fact that the mascara is so fluffy, this mascara does not move, so the scales do not melt, they can simply be brushed off. I wore it all day for an exchange, it rained and was very humid, I took a little nap and it lasted over 12 hours and looked as good as when I first put it on. To remove it I used coconut oil to dissolve it, rubbed it pretty well with a makeup remover wipe but when I got out of the shower there was still a bit of raccoon eyes. But I wiped it off and it was clean - it definitely needs to be removed, but if you use oil and makeup remover and then wash your face you'll be fine. I gave it a 3 because the flaking and buildability is annoying but I have to admit I love the dramatic look it gives and for the price this mascara is amazing. The tube is a good size and seems to contain a decent amount of product for $5, this is a pretty great mascara. I want to try regular (non waterproof) to see if it peels less. I am happy with this purchase and will definitely be ordering more.
