I upgraded Spark 3.0 to the new STEEL. There's a lot to like, especially the fact that it's now isolated. But there are tradeoffs compared to 3.0.1. The bottle wobbles when put down. The bottle no longer measures water in the same way, and the rechargeable block on the bottom keeps it from sitting flush with the tabletop. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but believe me you'll notice it in version 3.0.2. I was expecting to be able to customize the color of the glow - and somehow I can. I can choose from several preset colors. I can't select a color wheel or anything. In fact, they recently sent out a survey asking if I would pay for this feature. Why not, no I wouldn't. And I honestly thought it would be included based on marketing materials.3. I miss Form 3.0. One is shaped to fit your hand for a better grip; that has disappeared with the new STEEL.4. Now the colors are only at the bottom of the bottle and not all over the bottle like it was in 3.0. To be clear, I really like the bottle. It's just a bit annoying going from 3.0 to STEEL. I wasn't expecting to miss anything from 3.0, but I do. But the isolated nature, higher capacity options and the ability to charge are really value-added improvements.
