Review on Waykar 155 Pints Commercial Dehumidifier for Large Spaces – Efficient Moisture Removal in Basements, Libraries & Whole House by Charles Butler

Powerful, Loud and Incredibly Efficient

This is the most powerful and efficient dehumidifier I have ever used. My basement is a little under 2000 square feet. I feel uncomfortable, especially when I put things in there. I also like board games so I would never consider keeping anything similar in there for fear of warping. Of course, I had to be consistent with the humidity in the basement, which has not been possible so far. This Waykar dehumidifier works similarly to other models they have made. So if you're familiar with the brand, you can probably start working with it right away without too much effort. Realize this beast is LOUD, and if that's any consolation, know that it destroys moisture in a matter of hours. After setting everything up, which was relatively painless, I was shocked at the amount of air the machine blows out of its side. and of course the sound it makes. My basement is quite deep so no one in the house is bothered by noise. It is worth noting that the dehumidifier will turn off automatically once the desired humidity level is reached. Everything on the machine is high quality except for the hose that comes with the kit. Of course, no tube I've ever taken out of a box has been great, this one is just standard. For the amount the car is worth, I'd like to see something better than the cheaper plastic it comes from. The only other gripe I have is that the instruction manual is absolutely littered with grammatical and spelling errors. If you have never used such a machine, then as the instructions tell you to do everything, there is much to be desired. I have had other Waykar products and the manuals were clearer than this one. There is also no help section showing what icons can appear on the LCD or what some terms mean. What does "wet controller" mean? I have no idea because there is no information anywhere! Despite all that, the performance and finish of the device is amazing enough to give it 5 stars or a full recommendation from me. If like me you have a basement and/or are concerned about the moisture situation in your current installation, don't skimp as you will regret it very soon. Yes, it's expensive, but not so much that it doesn't actually destroy the mold's ability to function. raise these.
