I'm quite an organized person and I just love my stuff. I've been looking for a long time for a set that will help me put together my spice collection that I've accumulated over the years, which despite amazing purchases was visually inconsistent and didn't reflect my .wink need for organization. to wink. When I finally saw this set, my heart skipped a beat! I decided to give it a try and my spice cabinet now looks like they came from the same mother :). I LOVE IT! What do I like about it? Here are a few features I can list for you: - It really is perfect for those who just MUST have everything in perfect order. - It contains enough glasses for the most discerning cook, with a few left over one might think. 60 jars is much more than a normal and even moderately well-stocked spice cabinet. It goes beyond that. Jars are standard and should you ever need more, they are very easy to find and purchase in any quantity you desire. So planning for the future is built in.- HERE'S MY ABSOLUTE DREAM FEATURE: There are several different fonts/sizes/color label sets and one set is for tops only, making it perfect for the most discerning customer.- Bottle Size = 4 oz. This is PERFECT for my purpose. there are also large bottles, but for me personally, 4 ounces is THAT. Why? As I don't use most of these spices on a really regular basis, about 40 of my set of 60 jars fill a few spoonfuls a few times a year, so this size is ideal for this purpose. Otherwise, it would be very expensive to buy and top up from big banks. I've already strategized and found all the local stores that sell spices in bulk so I can just go out and buy the spice I want in the quantity I want without buying the expensive jar. supermarket options. Instead of buying a stick of turmeric in a jar at the store for $6, I can buy a few balls, wrap them, code them, pay at the register, and get a dollar. or something like that for the same spice, often even in the organic version in health food stores etc. - FONTS! Oh yeah. fonts. I was really the ball there. If you're bored enough to keep reading about the fun of myfont, here it is for you: I couldn't decide which font I wanted because they're all so perfect. Better this way than otherwise. My first impulse was to choose the least visible font and the thinnest possible so that it wouldn't detract from the splendor of a continuous visual jar of virgin spices in a pristine glass belly. So I started with a tinny white font, all caps, like ANIS. all in white very small caps. I put my labels on the floor and marveled. it looked great. Then I realized that the names of the white spices had actually disappeared from anything that had white content. Garlic Powder, Garlic Salt, Onion Powder, Arrowroot. They call it. Anything that was very light had a very low contrast background to make the white label unreadable. as a problem solver, I asked myself. Why not use a white label installed on one side of the jars while using the same black font and stick it on the other wall? That way, with each spice, I can turn to either of the two whenever I want. All of this since I have the same labels for my entire spice kit so I don't really need duplicates but since I have them and each jar is four walled what's stopping me you ask? And you are right! Nothing is the answer. That's why I posted two-tone labels. One in front, one on the side. This way I could easily paint the glass any color I wanted without having to commit once and for all. Who doesn't like flexibility. An unexpected surprise. So. While my set looked fantastic with no writing to spoil the splendor of the spice jars, I quickly realized that finding the right spice in a jar among 60 jars quickly wasn't easy. Beautifully filled jars with spice labels, which prevented me from using that nice big font, which still spoils the clean look a bit, but gives instant search results for the right spices in no time. I just thought if I put it on the back of each jar I'd have the best of words! I have white or black tin labels on both sides but big letters on the third side and although the cans are full they really don't compete in any way because depending on which side you are facing you can't see the other! Problem solved or sooner. Solution found! It was just fantastic! but why stop there. I asked myself Since I have these gorgeous black top names that go to waste if I don't use them, why waste? I decided to stick them on each jar, which turned out to be very fun at first, and added a simple spice finder that can now also be found from a bird's eye view if they are collected on a countertop waiting to be used for this project. It was fun. So I used ALL the labels that came with it, each tin now has FOUR different fonts: white, black, big and top. I found out too. If I ever decide to store my jars horizontally in one of those honeycomb cabinets, I'm willing to have my lids labeled for such an occasion. If I said all of this is boring or tiring, I would be lying. . It was so much fun. If you have any traces of OCD you will be in heaven :). It's a favorite job, and only the organizers' dream and label therapy, if you will. I am totally in love with the set. Other notes: Although not mandatory, I washed the set in the dishwasher. Glass only. Just to make sure there is no dust inside after production and to be honest I haven't found any but just to be sure. The spice jars have a plastic hole, you can leave it on or remove it. This allows you to either splash or open the flip-top and pour the stream onto a spoon or bowl. The tops have an airtight liner that keeps air in and out, keeping them safe from curious sheet metal creatures. All in all it really is a DREAMING! discontinued and I couldn't be happier with it.
