Installation instructions will not fit a 2007 Cobalt LT, but there is a better way
Wiring harness fits perfectly into existing wiring but instructions are incorrect. You can't pass it through the trunk because there are metal plates behind the taillights. Instead, remove the taillights and route the wires down through the extreme right and left sides of the car. You can run wires over the top of the bump and then the end of the trailer harness will be right next to your hitch. Works better than the instructions that came with it. I use magnetic rare earth hooks (60lb capacity) to keep mine off the ground, just unhook to use.
