Headphones were purchased for listening to music, working with sound and mixing. The first purchase was the neighboring model HD 650, which seemed muddy and undetailed in terms of sound. This HD 600 model seemed much cleaner and more open, but if you are going to buy headphones for listening to music for your own pleasure, I do not recommend it. The subwoofer is a bit lacking in them, the stage is not wide, and the emphasis is shifted to mids and vocals. But the overall sound seemed to me detailed and relatively even in terms of frequency balance. How good they are for studio work - time will tell.
