Water Wow books have entertained my 4 year old on car trips since he was 2 years old. If he pushes too hard, they'll eventually scratch, but he'll use them anyway. We haven't thrown one away because it's too badly scratched. This underwater book is new from M&D and my son loves the sea so it was very well received. In fact, I think it might be something we need to buy back since he only wants it now and not the others. :P Water Wow books don't make a mess, they're great for a car or plane. Now he colors them in pretty quickly and when he's done the pages aren't dry and he wants to do it again. So it's good to switch between two books. Leave the sides open so they dry faster. I don't let him play with it at home or on normal car trips, they are just special road books!
