This is a well built rack with a very powerful motor, precise, very comfortable height adjustment, strong wheels and a very long cable with good insulation. In fact, it's almost a copy of a very good old commercial Hoover that we've used almost flawlessly throughout its lifetime for 42 years. I also use it on carpeted stairs and here the design details are too short compared to the old Hoover which had a U-bracket at the pivot point of the handle/hinge to allow for a very comfortable 'handle' for vacuuming the stairs. I designed a simple but effective grip to accommodate this "lost" feature. The combination of a very powerful vacuum with a rotating brush and wand to pull everything out of the carpet is still hard to beat.
