My 2010 Street Glide bike. So I used a spare LED bulb and wanted to upgrade it. However, I don't pay a lot of money for a headlight. It had good general reviews and the price was right so I gave it a try. First, it came in a great styrofoam box. The kit included a headlight, a bracket, a ring to attach the headlight to the bracket, screws and 3 different wiring harnesses (I didn't need any of those) and instructions. That's how it went. Remove the headlight, install the new black bracket, connect the light, install the headlight mounting ring, then my old chrome headlight trim ring. just right? nope A little more needed to be done. for one. My old mounting bracket and mounting pad couldn't hold the headlight in place, so I installed a new mounting bracket, then the headlight, then the fairing mounting ring. Worked great and was well protected. Connecting was easy. Harley Touring models have two additional wires included in the factory wiring harness. Orange cable with flat plug and black cable socket. If you have that, just use the orange wire. This is the one with the long blade connection. The black wire has a 90 degree connector. The orange connector was originally designed for Ultras to power the front fender light so you already have the option to use the Halo! Plug in the headlight, connect the red wire from the new headlight to the connector on the wiring harness, and turn on the light and halo. This is (maybe) bad. The three prong connector that comes with the flashlight is cheap (think the price you paid) and just to make sure it stays connected to the wiring harness I used tape to hold it together. Once installed, you must direct it so that you can enjoy it. I had some photos but Amazon wouldn't let me upload them, but you didn't miss anything. I haven't used it on the street, but considering how bright my garage was and the visible beam on my garage door (a nice flat line with no shadows or crazy hotspots), I'm sure it will work just fine. Bright light adds a bit more with a defined hotspot center. Hope that helps. I'm sure 250 to 700 lights is great. I'm just not there yet. To update; drove at night. I don't know what kind of lights other users had before they bought this one, but it's not that bright at all. My friend has a 2014 Ultra with Daylight. Compared to this headlight, its light looks like a blinding sun. The wonders of the world await you when you buy this light. it's not going to happen. This light replaces an incandescent lamp as well as a replacement Rivco LED lamp insert. The tag maker is much brighter. Of course, this light costs $60 and the Harley light costs over $400. You get what you pay for.
