I bought 3 items because I don't know what would work best for me to top Amy's Mexican Frozen Meal with a block of Tillamook cheese and nachos for my dinner. I wanted to get away from shredded cheese that had "garbage" added to keep it from sticking together. Since life is a big experiment to gain experience I have ordered: OXO Good Grips Grater Grater Zulay Adjustable Thickness Cheese Slicer 2 extra wires included Prodyne CK-300 Multi-Purpose Cheese Vegetable Knife I will say all 3 are excellent. I really like the knife because it cuts thin and works like a dream - the cheese doesn't stick to the knife. I can cut 4 or 5 pieces in no time. I like that the cheese slicer has two extra blades. The device feels solid and I had no problem slicing a large slice of cheese the first time. And since it's adjustable, I was able to get quite a large, thinly sliced piece of cheese. cheese grater? I like it but I don't think it's my favorite tool. The cutting "blades" are very sharp, but the grater is not as easy to clean afterwards as the other two products. And I think it takes a little longer to grate the cheese than it does to cut it. So far I think my favorite is the knife. But I expect good service from them. Perhaps further experiments will lead to new ideas.
