Review on πŸ’» Kensington SD7000 Surface Pro Docking Station: Ultimate Connectivity for Surface Pro 7, 7+, 6, Dual 4K Video Output (K62917NA) by Todd Gill

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Well built, elevates the Surface Pro monitor to a more comfortable height.

I have two Kensington docking stations. One for Surface Pro 4 and one for Surface Pro 5 (2017). Well built. Relatively expensive but more useful than the MS Surface Pro docks/boxes. Turns a Surface Pro 4 or 5 into a smaller version of Surface Studio. The Kensington lock system should have been included given the price. You'll also need to buy a compatible Bluetooth keyboard, since Surface Pro keyboards can't be used. When Surface Pro is docked, you cannot access the micro SD card. My Surface Pro 4 and 5 computers overheat with intense imaging and the dock doesn't improve cooling. Features that make the dock even better: 1) more USB-C ports (especially on the front of the dock); 2) SD card reader (on the front of the docking station); 3) video processor in docking station for external monitors; 4) active cooling of the Surface Pro in the docking station.
