I have used this pistol with great success. until it crashed. And boy, is it a real pain in the neck to sort out. And then I realized that this is the case with cooling. not good. The heat of the removed solder is one thing, but the heat of the iron is poorly insulated, and after moderate use (half an hour I think) the solder collection pot gets too hot to touch. This made it difficult to unload, and one day I forgot to let it cool and it started to melt. I managed to save it and I still use it, but it's really a bit inconvenient for longer work. I'm still giving it three stars because I really want to like it despite my complaints and it's really convenient despite its shortcomings - and hey, for $30 I can't complain.
