Review on Rockever Tortoise House: Wooden Small Animal Hutch for Indoor/Outdoor Habitat Enclosure by Vijay Patel

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality, beautiful and the turtle loves it!

Before assembling it I modified it a bit by painting a little desert picture on the back. In his previous enclosure which was made of glass, I hung a painting behind him and realized he would come out just to look at it! So I had to draw him his own scene when I got this :) It took a bit to put together but it really wasn't bad and the instructions were pretty good. I didn't have a drill so I did everything by hand and it still came out pretty good. It's very durable when all together and looks so beautiful! Even my grumpy little turtle is very happy with it. In the big open part I put some self-adhesive pieces of brown felt to give it some support but still be soft. And in the fully enclosed portion, I put a good inch and a half of sand, then a couple inches of coconut litter, and a layer of cypress mulch on top. He loves to dig and dig in it. Turtles should have a bathing area around 100 degrees Fahrenheit and between 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit on the cool side. This enclosure is big enough to regulate the temperature properly! The warm up point is right at 100 degrees, 80 in the middle and just over 70 on the opposite side. I was afraid it would be too small, but actually it's perfect! I highly recommend this if you want a nice, sturdy and good looking little case.
