Review on Aquarium Hand Made Ceramic Inhabitants by Amanda Edwardz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

simply great - I have 5 of these

I was looking for decorations for my Riparia (an aquarium that is supposed to look like a river bank). I keep small sea turtles. I read a pretty bad review which made me realize this is what I'm looking for. The one or two star rating was "It doesn't look like wood at all". I needed pottery that looked like a rusty pipe. I have sand and rust colored rocks complete with large roots and rust colored cinder blocks - it all looks like modern day Mississippi. This decor is fantastic - it looks like industrially rusted steel, but being ceramic it pairs beautifully with natural elements - roots, rocks and sand. It has soft edges and each one is unique (handmade) and a work of art in itself. I placed them horizontally and small turtles and forage fish swim/walk through them. I have 5 of these in a 6ft by 4ft 250 gallon indoor pond that is currently a quarter full of water as the turtles are small - those 5 tubes are essential elements in 60 gallon / 6 inch deep water - they are quite large, allowing me to partially submerge them in the shallow waters of my Mississippi shore. At first I was put off by the wait for delivery - I'm one of those people who do handicrafts on the bank. to go, and I have trouble sleeping when things aren't ready, so waiting a couple of weeks has been excruciating, and I've hovered over the cancel button a few times. The wait was definitely worth it.
