Great build quality, amazing performance

Overall a great gaming laptop. Bought as a mobile workstation with gaming potential (in that order). So far it's incredibly fast for everyday use and every game I've tried runs at +30 FPS on the best settings. I couldn't hit 300fps in any game, so a 300Hz display is a bit overkill. The build quality is amazing, the edges are a bit sharp (I'm used to a MacBook) and it feels solid. PROS: - It's a beast behind a very sober design. Other than the green logo on the back of the display, you wouldn't know it was a gaming laptop, which is great if you plan on using it in a formal workplace (like I did). The RGB keyboard is a great addition if you take the time to really tweak the various lighting options per app. CONS: - It gets HOT. I can't use it on my bed/lap while playing a casual game (the temperature is normal/a bit uncomfortable for web surfing). The proprietary charging port appears to be designed to fit snugly, leaving you feeling like it's getting scratched. Aluminum (sometimes you) - The speakers are bad, very bad. I wasn't expecting them to sound good, but they're useless for anything other than conference calls. Pricey, you're paying for a simple gaming design, quality materials, and amazing thermal performance on a thin laptop. Semi-CON: The battery life is about 3 hours. Not bad for a gaming laptop, but for a mobile workstation you need to take your charger with you everywhere. I solved this problem by using a 100W USB-C travel charger instead of the bulky original 230W charger, but you won't get the best performance that way.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Durable
