While we're not big fans of tying our dog up, we ended up taking it for our hikes so we could be a little more confident that our new pup, Brody, wouldn't walk around while we're busy cooking, camping, etc - sometimes we just need to focus our attention on something else and can't keep our eyes on it while camping. I am very satisfied with the quality of the material and the whole kit. So far everything has held up perfectly, no signs of wear. Note that all ends have some sort of protective sleeve, which not only protects the ends of the rope from wear and tear, but also looks better.
