This device is taken by those who care about the low delay of signal transmission from the camera to the computer. Let me remind you that this is an HDMI to USB interface - it transmits a digital video signal with sound from a source (with HDMI) to a computer (with USB 3.0).
Elgato has a number of similar devices (larger size and capabilities) - but they have one important point - signal delay!
It may not be important - if you are streaming, then a delay of 2 seconds does not play a role. In this case, other devices from Elgato or AverMedia, which can encode in H.264 in hardware and on the fly, work with USB 2.0 and have an analog input for an external microphone, may be more useful to you.

Pros

-Minimum signal delay - we get "live" communication in Skype -Quality of performance and work - Drivers are not needed (I did not find them) -Easy to connect and no extra wires

Cons

Remember - only works on USB 3.0! USB 2.0 is recognized, but the video will not be transmitted - I tried it on a 1080p source. With a 720p source, I don’t know how it will lead - it would be nice to try. In principle, taking a calculator in hand, you can estimate how much data is pumped per second. For 1080p, this is clearly more than the capabilities of USB 2.0.
