Review on Panasonic DVD-S500P-K Multi-Region Code Free DVD Player for PAL/NTSC, All Zone Compatibility by Darnell Murphy

I bought this product to watch DVDs from Europe, USA and Japan on a computer. Someone put a sticker on the box that said "Region Free" and that's how it appears in the listings, but the machine itself is only labeled Region 2. All I got was a greyscale fuzz on the tv, or the machine said it was playing and then randomly stopped (showed the stop icon on the tv) with no explanation. The only buttons on the machine are 'Eject' and 'Play/Pause' and only the eject button worked. Had to use the remote control to control the car so if you lose/damage it you will be deep doo-doo. The package had Arabic letters on it, so I think it's junk that they're selling to the working class in the Middle East. I feel some sympathy for my colleagues as it seems like some electronics companies around the world are bloody poor people.
