Review on πŸͺœ Laminate Flooring Aluminum Kneepads by EZARC by Brian Whitmore

Revainrating 5 out of 5

So this thing is AMAZING!

About three years ago we had a floating laminated wood floor laid, and over time four joints formed in the clearly visible passage area. I still don't quite understand how this happened as the boards were originally installed clean and tight. From research, this appears to be due to fluctuations in temperature, humidity, and humidity. At first I thought the repair would be expensive. I never thought we could buy a tool and fix it ourselves. I stumbled across this EZARC Floor Gap Fixer Tool from Revain by accident and I have to say it worked surprisingly well. 3-piece set includes suction cup, 16-ounce rubber mallet and knee pads. As you can see from my photos I chose to use knee pads so I can't comment on how the knee pads would have worked. They appear to be of decent quality and will work just fine. They were an added bonus over the other Floating Floor Gap Tools on Revain. Most others did not include knee pads. Now for the flow itself. The rows of floorboards run the full length of the house, so I decided to move to the nearest wall to minimize the movement. One thing to note before you begin is the length of the plank directly against the wall going under the quarter circle/joinery. You need to be sure that the last board is long enough to attach a full suction cup tool to it. Otherwise, move all the other boards next to it first, and then when you finally reach the last board, it can't be moved because you can't attach a tool. This leaves essentially the same gap, but closer to the wall. I had this problem with one of my strings. What I did to solve this problem was move each board just enough to touch the last one, but not 100% flush. This gave the impression of a fixation. The suction cup tool worked very well. The securing clips were strong and didn't feel like breaking. The hammer was a good weight, which is important because it generates more force to move the board. Finally, the body of the suction tool is metal and easily withstands hammer blows. There were no instructions in the box, but I had already watched several YouTube videos on how to work with it. For best results, the tool should be attached in the middle of the board (longitudinally). If you try to attach it at the end next to the gap, it just won't work. You'll think you're moving the board when you're actually moving the suction cup itself. Just stick the tool in the middle and it works great. Eventually I stopped using the knee pad and just stood over the instrument and banged it like that. It was too tiring to keep getting up and turning around. My floor was repaired in no time! I'm so glad I bought this tool and highly recommend it. It was an extremely inexpensive way to repair my floor and will last me for years to come.
