Believe me, they really work. They're not stainless steel and need to be treated with care, but they work. I bought two sets, one for my family and one for a family who went to the seaside with us. On land, the case protects your phone from sand and moisture, and you can still use it. There are some things in the water and in the dark that you need to be careful with. The case still does a great job of protecting the phone from water, but when it was fully submerged in water, my phone struggled to process touch commands. Even when working with the phone above the water surface, it was difficult to work by touch with wet hands. It could be a sensitivity issue related to the phone (my Samsung had issues, another person's Motorola had the same issue I had when submerged in water, but it worked fine over the surface even with wet hands) . So the case gets a lot of credit for doing its job well, but you have to be aware that handling the phone quickly when wet can be problematic. On one of our excursions we swam in underground caves. Cases have once again served us well in protecting our phones, but now in the dark I've found a new problem. The phone's flash is caught by the material of the case, so any shots taken through the case will be blank due to the light. To deal with this, I turned off the flash. If your camera is decent and the subject you're photographing has at least some lighting, you'll still get something. The case is quite large so it should work with all phone sizes listed in the description. It also comes with a strap and instructions on how to check the water resistance. And the colored cord on the edge of the case really glows in the dark and the case literally floats. There are some criticisms in some of the older reviews that ring true, but the case manufacturer must have added improvements over time as some of the criticisms are not true. is no longer valid (like the one that says the body clips will fall off if not held in the locked position).
