As the Item was late, the shop refunded my money, and I subsequently purchased a copy. Therefore, this methodology has failed me twice now. I will no longer be using Canon. The benefits: - The robust zoom has been discussed at length elsewhere, so I won't repeat that. - Excellent autofocus capture - Several image formats are a huge plus: 1:1, 16:9, 3:2, 4:3,4:5 Usability - in the palm of your hand, quick to process information Thank goodness the lens cap fits normally on this Canon model! Inadverse aspects: I'm revising my original review because the second identical camera I purchased experienced the same issue. A malfunction occurred when the lens froze in place after six months of sluggish use. The camera shuts down after that.
