My husband and I couldn't find a baby gate we liked and it was driving us crazy. I finally decided on this on a whim based on the reviews and regret not having ordered it in the first place. It's so easy to install, beautiful to look at and protects my baby. I bought an extension (mandatory) to use as a playground (oval) and my daughter loves it. She's 10 months now (we've been using her since she was about 9), pulling up the steps and so far so good. ** The door closes automatically, so be careful when exiting the playground. I see how my child could get hurt, but I managed to keep them away. We first put it against a wall in an oval shape (using the wall for support, meaning it wasn't a full oval with panels if that makes sense) and it worked for a couple of weeks until my kid started breaking it / breaking out. But then I added an extension for a full oval (the extension consists of 2 more panels) and it turned out to be the perfect playground. Panels can also be tightened or loosened. The only setting is when you add an expander. Otherwise it is ready to drive. Another great thing: Thanks to this system, my child has learned to play independently. She has one place to play (more so than Pack n Play, but she still plays in one) and all her toys are in one place. You can't go wrong with this gate!
