The first thing that struck me about this case was that it was difficult to open, as the many reviews attest. Here's how: Pull the plastic latch at the bottom. Press the tab holding this lid closed and it should pop open. If not, click the tab. To make it airtight, the latch at the bottom must be pulled up again when closing. I can see how it can break if you force it open and the hinges are a little tight. It holds both my lower and upper dentures, but I have a small mouth. It works for my purposes, but I can see that some people might have trouble with it.
