- Phillips on the tips which are very soft metal. NO cross/straight combo - the "bar" inside the terminal is in the middle of the terminal itself. If you're using wire #6 it's the ONLY fit, if any, and I wouldn't trust the connections . Just buy a Leviton 279-S00 for $10.
